Abstract:

PURPOSE: To exactly conduct measurement and analysis of even a specimen whose temperature is 150°C or higher by the use of a differential refractometer as a detector.

CONSTITUTION: With regard to a GPC system which comprises a solvent liquid vessel 1, a pump 2, a specimen injection part 3, columns 4, 5 and a detector 6 successively connected with a flow passage, the detector is composed of a differential refractometer equipped with an optical system comprising a lamp 11, a lens 12, an optical 8, a mirror 13 for reflection, pieces of null glass 14a, 14b and a light receiving element 15. And the optical system of the differential refractometer 6 is composed of a cell block 16 provided with the optical cell 8 and the mirror 13 for reflection and an optical block 17 provided with the lamp 11, the lens 12, the pieces of the null glass 14a, 14b, and these cell block 16 and optical block 17 are mutually spaced a little and set within a machinery frame 18.
