Title:
HIGH TEMPERATURE MANDREL IN ROLLING EQUIPMENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3797449
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high temperature mandrel in rolling equipment capable of coiling and uncoiling without generating seizures even for stainless steel and special steel.
SOLUTION: Stellite material 13 is cladded by welding, as an intermediate layer, on the surface of base material 12 made of heat resistant steel and cobalt- chromium carbide composite material 14 is cladded by welding on the surface. Thus, the hardness of the surface at an ordinary temperature is risen up to nearly 600 in Vickerse hardness to prevent seizures, and the hardness from base material 12 to cobalt-chromium carbide composite material 14 is gently varied by stellite material 13 as the intermediate layer. Whereby, cracks or the like are prevented.
