To provide a high-temperature working tool having a surface layer which is excellent in seizure resistance and wear resistance, has lower heat crack susceptibility and can perform cutting with which is also possible even when using it for working at the high temperature so as to exceed 1,000C.
This high-temperature working tool has a tool base material 133 and a build-up layer 134 formed on the surface of the tool base material 133 and the build-up layer 134 is formed from a binder containing metal particles and the metal particles which have the other material different from these metal particles. By this constitution, the metal particles are made to apt to be uniformly distributed in the PTA (Plasma Transferred Arc) build-up layer 134 is formed of a binder containing metal powder and, especially, the generation of ductile fracture, seizure, the damage of the build-up layer, heat cracks, etc. is effectively restrained.
