Abstract:
To provide a water treatment coagulant that is used for membrane filtration and exhibits superior fouling prevention effects when compared to the high-basicity aluminum chloride solution described in Japanese Unexamined Patent Application Publication No. 2009-203125.SOLUTION: A high-basicity aluminum chloride solution satisfies the following requirements 1-3. Requirement 1: the high-basicity aluminum chloride solution has a basicity ranging from 70% to 80%. Requirement 2: SO4/Al2O3 (molar ratio) in the high-basicity aluminum chloride solution ranges from 0 to 0.30. Requirement 3: when the high-basicity aluminum chloride solution is subjected to a predetermined filtrate aluminum concentration test to measure an aluminum concentration in the filtrate, the aluminum concentration is 0.40 mg/L or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
