Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a highly damping material composition not only developing a high loss tangent peak value but also having a slight change with time, optionally suitable for a use environment at a room temperature by including a specific polymer, a damping imparting agent and an acidic organic compound.
SOLUTION: This composition comprises (A) a base polymer containing a basic polar side chain, (B) preferably a damping imparting agent {e.g. pentaerythrityl-tetrakis[3-(3,5-di-t-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl)propionate]} being a hindered phenol-based compound, (C) an acidic organic compound and (D) optionally a filler, an amorphous resin, a colorant, a brightener, a flame-retardant, a blowing agent, etc. A (meth)acrylic polymer, an ethylene-acrylic copolymer, a polyvinyl acetate, its copolymer, etc., are preferably used as the component A. The component C is preferably naphthenic acid or a vegetable-based organic acid.
