Abstract:
To provide a highly efficient method of manufacturing an electric resistance welded tube excellent in weld zone characteristics by which the good quality of welding can be held and also decrease in manufacturing efficiency is prevented by appropriately imparting tapered shapes to end parts of a sheet (band material) before electric resistance welding when manufacturing the electric resistance welded tube.
The tapered shape is imparted to the end parts on the side of the upper surface of the band material 20 by rolling with a grooved roll 3 and also the tapered shape is imparted to the end parts on the side of the back surface of the band material 20 in the final stand of fin pass forming.
