Title:
HIGHLY SHRINKABLE POLYESTER FIBER FOR WOVEN FABRIC
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0770821
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a polyester fiber which is a polyester fiber obtained by a spinning and directly drawing method but which can give a woven fabric having the same touch under the same processing conditions as those of a filament woven fabric using filaments obtained by a conventional spinning and drawing method.

CONSTITUTION: A polyester fiber for woven fabric is produced by melt-spinning an ethylene terephthalate polyester, taking off the spun fiber with a take-off roller, subjecting the fiber to at least one of a drawing method and a thermal treating method without once winding up the fiber, and subsequently winding up the treated fiber, and characterized by an intrinsic viscosity of ≤0.65, a thermal shrinkage stress-starting temperature of ≤65°C, a high stress peak of ≥0.35g/dl, and a high boiling water shrinkage degree of ≥12%.
