Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highpolymer conductor which has a self-doping function capable of performing quick doping and dedoping operations and which can widely be used as electrode of electrochemical cells.
SOLUTION: A highpolymer conductor having a self-doping function is expressed by Eq. I, where the repeat unit A ranges from 0.01 to 100mol.%, and Eq. II or III where the repeat unit B ranges from 99.99 to 0mol.%. R in Eq. I represents a straight-chained or branched alkylene having a carbon number between 1 and 10, where (n) is 1 or 2. The repeat unit B is of main chain structure which gives at least one sort of π-electron conjugated system selected among groups according to Eq. II or III. This conductor can show at least a conductivity of 1s/cm, and the self-doping can be widely used, for example in the electrode of an electrochemical cell or a conductive layer of a field effect TR.
