To exchange a gate to another new gate regardless of the size and shape of a pot hardware by shaping a pot for the hinge member so as to fit a hinge hardware into the pit and hold it and fit the elbow of the hinge member in the pot hardware and hold it, in the hinge member interposed between the elbow hardware of a gate post and the pot hardware of the gate.

A elbow hardware 1 is shaped as a circular columnar form and erected on a fitting base 21 for the elbow hardware protruded at the side face of a gate post 20. And the upper end thereof is a little widened and shaped so as to coincide with the inner diameter of a pot hardware of an existing gate. The pot 3 is opened at the lower end and shaped to form a nearly circular cylinder and have an inner diameter almost equal to the outer diameter of the elbow hardware 1 and the elbow hardware 1 is fit in the pot 3. Screw holes 9 fixing the pot 3 to the elbow hardware 1 are formed at the position corresponding to upper end part of the elbow hardware 1 of the upper part of the pot 3. And screws are inserted from both sides to push the front ends of screws on the upper end of the elbow hardware 1. And the pot hardware 2 of the gate 22 is put on the elbow 4 to fit the gate 22 to the gate post 20. Accordingly, the gate can be exchanged regardless of the size and shape of the pot hardware 2.
