PURPOSE: To control the position of a hoist body in the longitudinal and the lateral directions by installing a gas injection mechanism on a hoist body suspended in a shiftable manner in the vertical direction by a cable and shifting the position of the hoist body by jetting the gas in an arbitrary lateral direction.
CONSTITUTION: As for a rescue hoist 1 used in the rescue operation by a helicopter, crews or operators on the ground operate a controller 5. An air adjusting valve is turned through a motor 4 by the output signal of the controller 5, and the jet quantity and the jet direction by an air jet mechanism 2 utilizing the air supplied from through a hose 7 by a pump 6 are controlled, and the rescue hoist 1 is shifted toward a target. Further, a bearing mechanism 10 operates so as not to transmit each torsion of a cable 8 and the hose 7 to the rescue hoist 1. Accordingly, each shift in the longitudinal and lateral directions of the rescue hoist 1 is controlled, and the speedy and correct rescue operations are enabled.
