PURPOSE: To simplify manufacturing of a hoisting machine and to reduce the manufacturing costs, by specifying the rotation controlling mechanism for the hoisting means.
CONSTITUTION: The hoisting machine of this invention employs a pair of motors 4A, 4B having a typical capacity, a pair of speed reducing gear units 3A, 3B, and a pair of braking means 5A, 5B, and they are arranged symmetrically on both sides of frame 1, i.e., main body of the hoist in which hoisting drums 2A, 2B connected in series to each other are provided in freely rotatable manner. These pairs of motors 4A, 4B, speed reducing gear units 3A, 3B and braking means 5A, 5B are connected operatively to the hoisting drums 2A, 2B. With such an arrangement, load acted to hook 7 is supported uniformly by motors 4A, 4B and braking means 5A, 5B via hoisting drums 2A, 2B, so that a hoisting machine having a large capacity can be manufactured at a low cost easily by the use of constituent parts having a relatively small capacity.
