To miniaturize and lighten respective sheaths and omit the adjusting of a sheath guide of lines and a handling device in accordance with the outline of sheath, on changing the mold, by making it possible to form a sheath integrated by fitting a sub-sheath into the main article holding area of the main sheath and making the bottom face dimensions of the main sheath equal to the bottom face dimensions of the integrated sheath.

A holding device 10 of an atticle is constituted of the main sheath 11 provided with the main article-holding area 11A holding a main article 1 and the sub-sheath 21 provided with the sub article-holding area 21A holding an sub article 2. An integrated sheath 31 can be formed by fitting the sub sheath 21 into the main article-holding area 11A of the main sheath 11. The bottom face dimensions of the main sheath 11 is the same with the bottom face dimensions of the integrated sheath. The main article 1 is a carton case for instance and the sub article 2 is bolts for instance. Accordingly, it is not required to adjust the sheath guide of the line or the handling device in accordance with the outline of the sheath, when exchanging the mold owing to the change of handling articles in the line. The sub sheath 21 itself can be miniaturized and lightened and the weight and material cost can be reduced.
