Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holding device for a gap, by which rolls can be easily changed, whose structure is simple, which is free from influence from a screw down device, by which a gap in the load direction such as a bearing part, etc., can be eliminated and a roll gap can be kept.
SOLUTION: By a spring 29 in a space between upper roll bearing box 13 and upper roll auxiliary bearing box 25, a gap in the load direction, existing in the space, is eliminated. And a gap in a screw down device 19 is eliminated by a spring 33 between a roll chock supporting member 21 and a housing 15 as well. Consequently, a device eliminating the gap in the load direction becomes simple, and rolls can be simply changed without removing the screw down device by freely engaging and disengaging an upper roll bearing box 13 in the roll axial direction to a roll choke supporting member 21 to which the screw down device 19 is connected. Further, since a repulsion body between the two bearing boxes works as an internal force of the roll, it does not influence the screw down device, and the structure of the holding device becomes simple.
