To reliably hold a cord so that the cord will not be unraveled from its end when the cord is wound without forming a protrusion unnecessary in ordinary use and thus without degrading the portability of a portable device.
A cord holding portion 12 is provided so that the outer circumferential surface of an enclosure a is extended. A recess 11 is provided under the holding portion so that the cord can be passed thereunder. One end of a cord wound on a device body 1 is retained by a cord pullout portion 2 and the other end is retained by the cord holding portion 12 so that they will not be displaced. The recess 11 is so formed that a cord cannot be passed in the direction perpendicular to the direction in which it is pulled out of the cord pullout portion 2.
