Title:
HOLDING STRUCTURE FOR NON-CERAMIC INSULATOR FITTINGS AND HOLDING METHOD FOR THE FITTINGS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2610092
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide an inexpensive holding structure for non-ceramic insulator fittings and a method for holding the fittings, capable of alleviating stress concentration due to local deformation, and preventing an FRP(fiber reinforced plastic) break accident.
CONSTITUTION: A non-ceramic insulator has an FRP rod 1 and a sheath 2 of elastic insulation material enclosing the external surface of the rod 1. Also, holding fittings 3 and 4 are caulked to the ends of the rod 1. In this case, after caulking the fittings 3 and 4, the portion 8 of the rod l thermally treated at temperature equal to or higher than the thermal dislocation of matrix resin is formed at a position adjacent to the fittings 3 and 4 of the rod 1.
