Abstract:

To eliminate a ground for installing a structure with a photocatalyst, and easily degrade/remove a pollutant in an atmosphere and fluid such as water, or the pollutant sticking to the surface of a hollow body through receiving a light by providing the photocatalyst on the outer shell surface of a thin coat forming a hollow part.

A photocatalyst is arranged on the outer shell surface of a spherical plastic thin coat hollow body 100 to form a photocatalytic layer (transparent) 5. When arranging the photocatalyst, a transparent adhesive materia, e.g. an acrylic resin which contains about several to 50 wt.% of photocatalytic particle with an outer shape of about 0.01-10 μm is formed in a thickness of about 0.1-20 μm of means such as electrostatic printing, spray or roller coating or screen printing. The adhesive material may be a generally applicable coating and the photocatalytic particle is sprayed after application of adhesive material or a coating so that the photocatalytic particle is borne on the surface of the adhesive material or on the coating, instead of applying the adhesive material or the coating containing the photocatalyst. A gas to be sealed into the hollow body 100 is He gas.
