Abstract:
To efficiently process an end on a winding start side of a metal wire material at low cost.SOLUTION: A hollow cylindrical filter manufactured by spirally winding a metal wire material 20 in a multi-layer form includes: an inside cylindrical body 31 which includes a first wire material layer L1 positioned on the innermost periphery, and is formed by winding two or more layers of the metal wire material; and an outside cylindrical body 32 that is positioned on the just outer peripheral side of the inside cylindrical body and around which the metal wire material is wound. After the inside cylindrical body has been formed, the outside cylindrical body is formed by folding back a start end 20a of the metal wire material and arranging it on the outer peripheral side of the inside cylindrical body, and further winding the metal wire material, thereby the start end of the metal wire material is folded in between the inside cylindrical body and the outside cylindrical body.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
