Abstract:
To provide a porous hollow fiber membrane which has excellent separation performance and practical strength and the filtration cost with which is made low and to provide a method of manufacturing this membrane.
This hollow fiber membrane is characterized in that it is manufactured by heat-inducing phase separation between a macromolecular compound and a solvent. The manufactured membrane has circular or elliptic minute pores having ≥3 μm average pore size on the exterior and interior surfaces, the purified water permeation rate is ≥30,000 L/m2/hour/98 kPa and fractionated particle size is ≥1 μm.
