To provide a hollow fine particle having single pore, a nanometer-level average particle diameter, and a large ratio of (the diameter of the pore)/(the diameter of the outer shell); and to provide a composite material.
The hollow fine particle having the single pore in the particle has 10-200 nm average particle diameter, and ≥0.7 average value of the ratio of the pore diameter to the diameter of the outer shell when the average value of the ratio of the pore diameter to the diameter of the outer shell is obtained by the method shown by the following (1) and (2): (1): the ratio (the pore diameter/the diameter of the outer shell) of the pore diameter to the diameter of the outer shell is obtained by setting an axis in an arbitrary direction as the reference axis, measuring the maximum values of the widths in the direction parallel to the reference axis as the diameters of the outer shells, and the maximum values of the widths of the pores in the parallel direction as the pore diameters about arbitrarily selected 500 hollow fine particles, and calculating the ratio from the measured diameters of the outer shells and the pore diameters; and (2): the average value of the ratios of the pore diameters to the diameters of the outer shells of the hollow fine particles is obtained as the value of the arithmetic mean of the measured ratios (the pore diameter/the diameter of the outer shell) of the 500 hollow fine particles.
