Abstract:

To obtain a sharp reproduced image by selecting an emission time of a reproduced light to be shorter than a drive time for one frame by a space light modulation means and intermittently sampling interference fringes changing rapidly time by time, so as to prevent a 3-dimensional reproduced image of a moving object from being hardly viewed.

A laser beam L0 of a reproduction light source 120 is magnified by a collimate lens 124 via a magnification lens 122 into a collimated light being a reference light L20, which is emitted vertically to a matrix pixel arranged type liquid crystal display element 130. The transmitted light is diffracted by an interference fringe, then the diffracted light is given to a condenser lens 140 and a spatial filter 142, by which a 0-th order diffracted light is excluded and then a 3-dimensional image without fog is viewed, even if an object O is moving. An optical shutter 144 intermittently switches the reproduced light to allow the reproduced light to be emitted intermittently, and the shutter time is selected to be shorter than a drive state time by one frame for the matrix pixel arranged type liquid crystal display element 130. Consequently, it is equivalent to perform intermittent sampling of an interference fringe pattern which changes in time and a sharp 3-dimensional image of the object O is obtained.
