PURPOSE: To enable not only a medium-fine woolen yarn but also an extremely thick woolen yarn to be knitted by one home knitting machine by fitting a knitting needle having a hook for the medium-fine woolen yarn at the front end, a hook for the extremely thick woolen yarn at the rear end, and a butt at the intermediate, and capable of being freely connected and separated at the intermediate, to a needle groove.

CONSTITUTION: A rear part comb-line 13B having a twice pitch as much as that of a front part comb-line 13A, and a needle groove 7B are installed so as to be arranged in the front and rear direction in the rear part of a rear part rail. A knitting needle 9B having a hook 8A for a medium-fine woolen yarn and a hook 8B for an extremely thick woolen yarn is fitted in the needle groove 7B so as to be freely moved in the front and rear direction. The standing part 20 of the front half body 17 of the knitting needle 9B, and the standing part 23 of the rear half are mutually brought into contact with each other, and a butt in a cap shape is fitted and covered on the standing parts. The knitting hook 9B is not operated by a carriage 3 when the hook 9B is positioned at the positions (a) and (d), and is operated when positioned at the positions (b) and (c).
