Abstract:
To incorporate a sufficient thermal impact resistance and to eliminate an increase in pressure loss by obviating a crack even by disposing a plurality of honeycomb structures on a side face in a contact state.
The honeycomb structure comprises a sectional shape of each cell of a rectangular or square shape and a section of a rectangular or a square as a whole. In this case, a hydraulic diameter of a cell 2a disposed at least at an edge of one side of four sides for constituting the rectangular or square section is formed smaller than that of another cell 2b. Thus, a damage of the structure can be effectively prevented.
