To improve honing finishing accuracy for a work with outer teeth by determining a position so as to constitute a contact skew gear with the gear-shaped work and a tool for generating a gear having inner teeth, in a device for precisely finishing a tooth surface of the gear-shaped work with the tool for generating the gear having inner teeth.
When outer teeth 9 of a work with outer teeth 1 is honed with a tool 2 having inner teeth such as an inner tooth 10 of honing-grinding wheel, the tool 2 having the inner teeth is rotated at a first rotation speed around the center of a gear axis of the honing-grinding wheel. The work with outer teeth 1 fixed to a support shaft 13 supported by centers 14, 14 is rotated in the same direction at a second rotation speed. The tool 2 having inner teeth and the work with outer teeth 1 are tiltingly mounted so as to have a crossing angle γ, inter-axis distance and the crossing angle γ between the tool 2 having inner teeth and the work with outer teeth 1 in a housing process are numerically controlled. Thus, the outer teeth 9 of the work with outer teeth 1 can be precisely honed.
