Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH11208286
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To prevent scratch marks from remaining as blemishes in surface paint, even when an animal such as a cat jumps onto the hood of a vehicle, by covering the bonnet and the sides thereof with a sheet thicker than the claws of the animal such as the cat are long.

A hood cover 1 is composed of a sheet thicker than the claws of an animal such as a cat are long. The material is composed of, for example, urethane foam and foam rubber or the like. The hood cover 1 covers the hood portion and the two sides 24, that is, the front, of a vehicle 20. When used, the bonnet cover 1 is pulled over the hood of the vehicle 20 by hand and a plurality of hooks 3 are hooked to the lower edge of the vehicle. This hood cover 1 differs from that which covers an entire vehicle in that in addition to being simple to put on, the sheet thickness of the bonnet cover 1 is thicker than the claws of the animal such as the cat are long. Therefore, claw marks can be prevented even when the cat jumps up the side 24 of the bonnet.
