To provide a hood for an endoscope, which can be attached to an accurate position without affecting the performance of the endoscope.
A first hood 100 for the endoscope comprises an elastic material having a cylindrical shape. A cylindrical connection part 110 fitted with the outer side face of the distal end 202 of the endoscope 200, a cylindrical hood part 120 extending from the connection part 110 in the axial direction of the connection part 110, a support part 130 projected from the inner side face of the hood part 120 to the center axis of the first hood 100 for the endoscope, and a first abutting part 140 projected from the distal end of the support part 130 along the axis of the first hood 100 for the endoscope are integrally formed. The cross section of the first abutting part 140 in the radial direction of a forcep port 222 forms a right triangle. The inner side face of the first abutting part 140 extends vertically from the support part 130 to the distal end face 210 of the scope, and is flat with the inner side face of the support part 130 to form one curved surface.
