PURPOSE: To obtain the subject equipment for the drying of paper sheet, having high heat-efficiency, free from dropwise condensation of humid air in the hood and giving a high-quality paper by constructing the wall face with a panel produced by covering the inner and outer side walls of a heat-insulation material made of phenolic resin foam with a thin metal film.

CONSTITUTION: The objective hood equipment 1 for a dryer of a paper-making machine surrounds a number of cylinder dryers 2 for the drying of paper sheet 6 to prevent the heat-dissipation from the cylinder dryers 2 and collects and discharges humid air containing steam evaporated from the paper sheet 6. In the above equipment, the inner side wall I and outer side wall O of a heat- insulation material 30 made of a phenolic resin foam are covered with thin metal plates 27-1, 27-2 to obtain a panel 23 for constructing a wall face, and the panel 23 is produced by connecting a plurality of divided dryer hood panels 23-1 and 23-2 with a mortised joint members 29-1 and 29-2 at the adjacent edges and sealing the joined part 25 with a sealing material 32.
