To provide a hook-and-loop fastener easily determining a temporary fixing position to a body to be fixed such as clothes, firmly attached by sewing and reducing peel-off sound emitted when peeling off the hook-and-loop fastener.
This hook-and-loop fastener is provided with engagement elements on the surface of a base cloth and an adhesive layer on the back face of the base cloth, and the density of the adhesive layer is 0.8-1.3 g/cm3 and the thickness is 0.3-1.0 mm. This hook-and-loop fastener is a hook/loop mixed type hook-and-loop fastener formed by erecting a hook-and-loop fastener member formed by erecting hook-shaped engagement elements or loop-shaped engagement elements on one face of the base cloth or the hook-shaped engagement elements, and loop-shaped engagement elements on the same face of the base cloth. Preferably, the diameter of a filament used for the hook-shaped engagement element is 0.1-0.3 mm and the hook density is 50-130 pieces/cm2. Preferably, the loop-shaped engagement element is 100-400 dtex/5-50f and the loop density is 50-130 pieces/cm2.
