To provide a hook-and-loop fastener to be easily attached/detached, applicable to general fabrics of clothing, a hat or the like, or a certain mesh- structured fabric applicable for civil engineering or the like.
This hook-and-loop fastener 10 has a pile 12 with a specified shape which is formed on at least one side of a soft tape fabric 11 using a flexible material. In this case, the pile 12 has main stem parts 13 erecting almost at the right angle to the tape fabric 11 and a plurality of branch piles 14 ramified from the main stem parts 13. Each branch pile 14 is almost linear in shape and inclined to the side of the tape fabric 11 pointing toward the tip from the base end thereof. Each stem part 13 has an acute tip part 15 expanded toward the based end side from the tip thereof. The branch pile 14 sometimes has outer diameter smaller than general outer diameter of the main stem part 13. The branch pile 14 is formed, for example, by cutting the surface of a material pile composing the main stem part 13. The pile 12 is erected on the tape fabric 11, for example, by electrostatic flocking.
