Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve strength of a ram and facilitate cutting work by fixing a movable cutting edge on an end part lower surface of the flat ram.
CONSTITUTION: Simultaneously as a hoop material as a work is supplied, a motor 6 is driven to rotate a cam 10, so the ram 4 is oscillated by eccentric actuation of the cam 10 to advance or retract for starting cutting between a movable blade 3 and a fixed blade 2. At that time, the movable cutting edge 3 fixed on an end part lower surface of the flat ram 4 is oscillated, while it gets closer to/apart from the fixed blade 2, so the movable edge 3 starts cutting the hoop material from its end part by point contact for cutting it along the whole width of it. Cut pieces after cutting are discharged from a cutting material discharge port 30 as illustrated with an arrow B. The ram 4 is thus formed wide and flat, so strength of the ram 4 is maintained while a part thereof sliding in contact with a base 1 surface constantly, its operation is thereby stabilized.
