To safely supply materials or parts into a hopper at a high place while saving a space.
This hopper elevator device comprises a solid frame 2, a lower sprocket 3 arranged at the lower side of the solid frame 2, an upper sprocket 4 arranged at the upper side thereof, an elevation driving chain 5 bridged between the lower sprocket 3 and the upper sprocket 4, and an elevation hopper 7 connected and fixed to the elevation driving chain 5 and adapted to be elevated up and down between a lower limit stop position and an upper limit stop position. The elevation hopper 7 having a discharge opening 7a formed at the lower side is provided with a closing plate 20 to be oscillated between a close position and an open position of the discharge opening 7a and energizedly held at the close position and a push rod member 28 at the upper side of the solid frame 2 for contacting an extending member 20c of the closing plate 20 when the elevation hopper 7 is elevated up to a predetermined height and for opening the closing plate 20 against energizing force.
