1472379 Laminates BAYER AG 6 May 1975 [29 May 1974] 18968/75 Heading B5N [Also in Division C3] A scarlet thermoplastic polyurethane porous sheet prepared by spread coating a polyurethane powder, that has been obtained by mixing an aqueous n-propylene diamine solution with a prepolymer solution in acetone prepared from hexanediol carbonate, 1,6-diisocyanatohexane, -N-methyldiethanolamine, dimethyl sulphate and a dye of the formula and removing the solvents, on to a separating paper and heating, then removing the paper, can be wet-laminated on one or both sides with woven cotton, polyester fabrics or non-woven webs using polyurethane solutions or dispersions as adhesives. Alternatively the lamination may be carried out by heat sealing with thermoplastic resin powder, e.g. by spread coating a porous polyurethane sheet prepared as above with a layer of polyurethane powder prepared as above and heating and then laminating the sheet with a nettle cloth under pressure while the powder is still plastic.
