Abstract:
To clean waste plastic flakes while installation cost and operating cost are made low.
Waste plastic flakes are cleaned while a cleaning liquid in a trough 1 is kept at over 50°C by using a horizontal device for cleaning waste plastic flakes continuously in which a rotary shaft 4 having plural agitation paddles 5 and liquid sending screws 6 attached in the longitudinal horizontal direction of the trough 1 having U-shape in the cross section is provided. Foreign materials stuck to/mixed in the waste plastic flakes are separated and labels are peeled off from the waste plastic flakes. This method can be applied suitably at the recycling step of the crushed spent PET bottles.
