PURPOSE: To provide horizontal multi-shaft quenching device which can make a simultaneous high frequency quenching of different sorts of works in a shaft form, even though they are comparatively long, by furnishing a plurality of quenching parts coaxially which work together or individually.
CONSTITUTION: A work supplying mechanism 120 of the first quenching part 100 supplies shaft-form works to a work elevator mechanism 110, which moves works from the work supplying position to the work heating position or collecting position. The work moved to the heating position is supported rotatably by a rotarily supporting mechanism consisting of a drive head 131 and a follower head 132, heated by a high frequency heating coil 140, and collected by a work collecting mechanism 160. The second quenching part 200 composed of another work elevator mechanism 210, another rotarily supporting mechanism consisting of drive head 231 and follower head 232, etc., works either independently or together with the first quenching part 100, and when work rotarily supporting mechanism is dismantled, it is possible to support one long piece of shaft-form work.
