Abstract:
To realize a horn antenna capable of effectively preventing degradation of radiation characteristics due to impedance mismatch while using a dielectric to reduce a size and weight.SOLUTION: The horn antenna consists of a waveguide unit (10) and a horn unit (20). The waveguide unit is composed of a dielectric member and a metal member surrounding it. The horn unit is composed of a dielectric member and a metal member surrounding it and a diameter increases as a distance from the waveguide unit increases along an axial direction. The waveguide unit and the horn unit are connected at a boundary surface (P1) and each metal member defines a waveguide. A plurality of gaps is provided in a partial region (A1) of the dielectric member of the waveguide unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
