Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To conform to the shape of the human foot the left/right shape of the foot part of hosiery integrally formed by a circular knitting machine, and simultaneously to make the flection angle of the foot part and leg part of the hosiery close to the angle formed by the human foot and leg.SOLUTION: Of the instep side and the sole side which are the parts to come close with a prescribed space apart to a heel part 30 in a foot part 40 of hosiery 1, there is provided only to the sole side an extension region 41 that is formed by reciprocating the cylinder of a circular knitting machine. In this extension region 41, the area of the side face of the big toe side (inner side) of the foot part 40 is formed larger than the area of the side face of the small toe side (outer side) of the foot. It coincides with the shape of the human foot in which the side face of the big toe side is larger than the side face of the small toe side. Since the extension region 41 is provided only to the sole side of the foot part, the flection angle of the foot part 40 to a leg part 20 becomes larger, coming closer to perpendicularity which is the angle formed by the human foot and leg.
