Title:
HOT-MELT ADHESIVE COMPOSITION BASED ON ETHYLENE/VINYL ACETATE/VINYL ALKOXYSILANE COPOLYMER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3443254
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a virtually anhydrous, moisture-crosslinkable adhesive composition excellent in storage stability and low-temperature coatability without the need of crosslinking catalyst encapsulation and/or of using any desiccant- holding special cartridge, comprising a specific copolymer as base and a crosslinking catalyst.
SOLUTION: This adhesive composition is virtually anhydrous (e.g. ≤1000ppm in moisture content) and comprises (A) as base, a copolymer composed of ethylene, vinyl acetate and vinylalkoxysilane unit such as vinyltrimethoxysilane or vinylmethyldimethoxysilane (e.g. ≥150 in melt index at 190°C), (B) a crosslinking catalyst such as dibutyltin laurate or its combination with laurylamine, and furthermore, according as necessary, (C) a dehydrating agent such as vinyltri(methoxyethoxy)silane.
