Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot-rolling method for steel by which the steel having the high accuracy of dimension is manufactured even in rolling using a walking beam furnace for heating and the steel having the dimension of a cross section over a wide range is manufactured at high accuracy of dimension and a low cost.
SOLUTION: In this hot-rolling method for the steel, a stock to be rolled is heated with a walking beam type heating furnace 1, next, heated with an induction heating furnace 2, rolled with a skew rolling mill 3, rolled with a roughing mill 5 and, after that, rolled with a precision rolling mill 7. After the rolling with the precision rolling mill 7, furthermore, the steel is rolled with a finishing mill 8. Heating with the induction heating furnace 2 has the minimum time for reducing or eliminating skid marks generated in the walking beam type heating furnace, a plurality of coils are controlled with a plurality of controllers so that the temperature of the surface layer dos not ascend too high, and proper distance is provided between the coils for surface heat radiation.
