This hot water pot has a function to keep a first heat insulation temperature and a second heat insulation temperature which is lower than the first heat insulation temperature, and on the upper surface of a control- operation section 25, a photo-sensor 26 which detects the luminous energy of visible rays is provided. By this constitution, when the photo-sensor 26 detects that the luminous energy of visible rays of the outside is a specified luminous energy or lower, the temperature of hot water is kept at a third heat insulation temperature by a control device 29, and at the time of the specified luminous energy or higher, a temperature which has been set when the specified luminous energy or lower is detected, is kept.
