Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a bypass ratio to be set relatively low when a water heating set temperature is relatively high and to enable the bypass ratio to be set relatively high when the water heating set temperature is relatively low at a water heater provided with an electric water amount adjustment valve for variably changing a total amount of passing water for a heat exchanger 2 and a bypass passage 5.SOLUTION: A water amount adjustment valve 6 includes a main valve 64 for variably changing a total amount of feeding water to a heat exchanger 2 and a bypass passage 5 and a sub-valve 65 for variably changing a bypass ratio. When a rotation angle of a motor 62 is within a prescribed first range, the total amount of feeding water is increased or decreased under a state in which the bypass ratio is kept at a relative low value and in turn when the rotational angle of the motor 62 is within a prescribed second range, the total amount of feeding water is increased or decreased under a state in which the bypass ratio is kept at a relative high value, Then, when the water heating set temperature is relatively high, the motor 62 is controlled to be rotated within the first range and in turn when the water heating set temperature is lower than a prescribed temperature, the motor 62 is controlled to be rotated in the second range.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
