PURPOSE: To prevent a compressor from being overloaded and consequently contrive to enhance the reliability of the compressor by a method wherein the operation of the compressor is automatically controlled by detecting the delivery temperature of the compressor.
CONSTITUTION: A temperature sensor 16 is installed on the delivery side in the refrigerant piping of a compressor and connected to a control device. Even under the conditions that the compressor 10 is overloaded due to the change of installation conditions such as the change of climatic conditions, fluctuation of the sensor, clogging of absorber plates and the like, the temperature sensor 16 installed on the delivery side in the refrigenant piping of the compressor detects the delivery temperature so as to automatically stop the compressor 10 through the control device 17 in order to protect the compressor 10. Further, as for restarting, when the compressor 10 fully cools down below the set temperature, the temperature sensor 16 detects the cooled-down compressor so as to automatically restart the compressor through the control device 17. Thus, the enhancement of the reliability of the compressor is contrived and at the same time the thermal decomposition of heat transfer medium is prevented from occurring, resulting in obtaining a stable system performance.
