To provide a house with an earthquake-proof shelter which promptly evacuates a resident safely when an earthquake occurs.
The earthquake-proof shelter 300 is provided between a left room 100 and a right room 200. The right-hand sliding door 380 of the earthquake-proof shelter 300 is placed along the opening 323 of the right-hand wall 320 which corresponds with the opening of the left-hand wall 210 of the right room 200 and is supported by an automatic opening device 390 so that it moves in the front-and-rear direction. The automatic opening device 390 moves the right-hand sliding door 380 based on the arrival of the P-wave vibration of an earthquake so that it opens the opening 323. Thereby, the resident in the right room 200 promptly evacuates into the earthquake-proof shelter 300 from the opening 323 by passing through the opening of the left-hand wall 210 on earthquake.
