To repel a trespasser by operating an apparatus more naturally to make the trespasser give up on trespassing because of brightness of the surrounding, eliminating the necessity of troublesome setting of a clock without providing a radio wave correction etc. and managing a schedule of the apparatus.

The remote controller is provided with a storage 101 for storing remote control codes of an illuminating appliance 2 and an AV device 3, a transmitter 102 for transmitting remote control code, and a contrast detector 103 for detecting the surrounding brightness.
