Abstract:
To provide a method for determining the class of an optical lens, which discriminates between the design of a specific commodity for which many measured data are available with regard to an optical lens and the design of a commodity for which measured data is almost or absolutely none, and discriminates between a large number of classes based on a large number of measured data.SOLUTION: Main component analysis is performed on the basis of a data group belonging to one discretionary class that is obtained by means of mapping measurement of a lens and a main component score is acquired as a scale. A function for discriminating, between a data group belonging to other classes and a data group belonging to one discretionary class, whether some optical lens belongs to the one discretionary class utilizing the main component score (i.e., a determination function) is calculated. As the determination function is calculated, it is possible to apply the determination function with regard to a new lens and discriminate whether it belongs to one discretionary class.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
