Abstract:
To provide a timbering demolition method that can remove axial forces without using a jack.SOLUTION: The timbering demolition method includes the steps of: cutting and removing a part of the cross-section of steel materials for a truss support to which axial forces are applied when the truss support, which is positioned inside steel pipe sheet piles that shut a water area, is demolished; buckling the steel materials; and removing the truss support. At this point, the deformation value of steel materials that deform due to axial forces is measured using a strain gauge that is attached to the truss support in advance. By using the deformation value, for steel materials to be buckled, a cutout is set so that the cross-section and the length in the action direction of axial forces for steel material portions to be buckled fulfil Euler's buckling formula.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
