Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide triterpenoid extraction methods that can suppress the amount of organic solvent used as much as possible, and to provide methods of separating triterpenoid and carotenoid easily.SOLUTION: Provided are a triterpenoid extraction method comprising adding, to a plant derived raw material containing triterpenoid, an extract containing at least water and a hydroxide of elements of either Group 1 or 2; and a method of separating triterpenoid and carotenoid comprising adding, to a plant derived raw material containing triterpenoid and carotenoid, an extract containing a hydrous alcohol and hydroxide of elements of either Group 1 or 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
