To provide a wooden door which can surely bring about predetermined burning retarding performance by clarifying usage peculiar to each of silicic substances and capable of making the silicic substances function as a burning retarder depending on the kind and form of the silicic substance, or sufficiently thickening a layer of the burning retarder provided on the surface of a component member.
This wooden door D comprises: a core material 1; a flame retardant material 2 which is joined to both front and back sides thereof; a decorative material 3 which is bonded to a surface of the flame retardant material 2; and a side body 4 which is bonded on both the sides of the core material 1. The core material 1 comprises a falcata laminated plate 10 and a reinforcing member 15. In the flame retardant material 2, plywood is air-dried after being immersed in a silicic aqueous solution for twenty-four hours, and a layer of a sodium-silicate solution is provided on the surface of the plywood after drying. The layer of the sodium-silicate solution is superposed on the surface of the flame retardant material 2 in a state wherein the sodium-silicate solution is contained in a sheet 20, and provided by solidifying and bonding the sodium-silicate solution. A heated and foamed material 5 is provided on the outer peripheral part of the side body 4.
