Abstract:
To provide a heavy duty pneumatic tire capable of preventing edge separation of plural reinforcement layers covering the folding part of a carcass layer, and also to provide a method for production of the above tire.SOLUTION: In a heavy duty pneumatic tire having plural reinforcement layers 8 outside the folding part of a carcass layer 4, a multi-ply area having overlapped plural reinforcement layers and a single layer area in which one of plural reinforcement layers exists in a monolayer are formed by shifting respective radial outside end parts of plural reinforcement layers 8 in a tire radial direction to arrange and besides, a cord angle θts of the organic fiber cord composing the layer 8 to a tire circumferential direction in the single layer area, and a cord angle θtc to that direction in the multi-ply area satisfy the relations: |θts-θtc|≤5° and θtc≤40°.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
