Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method for operating an internal combustion engine having an exhaust gas supercharging system and an exhaust gas aftertreatment system, and a method for operating equipment composed of the plurality of internal combustion engines.SOLUTION: The method for operating an internal combustion engine 1 having an exhaust gas supercharging system 2 and an exhaust gas aftertreatment system 3 is provided. The exhaust gas aftertreatment system 3 has a catalyst converter 12, cut-off devices 14, 15 respectively disposed at positions upstream and downstream of the catalyst converter 12, and a bypass 13 including an additional cut-off device 16 for the catalyst converter 12. In order to prevent an exhaust gas from flowing to the catalyst converter 12, the cut-off devices 14, 15 disposed at the positions upstream and downstream of the catalyst converter 12 are closed, and the cut-off device 16 of the bypass 13 is opened, and the catalyst converter 12 is operated by supercharged air compressed in a compressor 9 of an exhaust gas turbocharger 8.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
