Abstract:
To suppress abrasion of a sacrificial anode layer in an open rack type heat exchanger.SOLUTION: A heat exchange unit 11 of an open rack type heat exchange device has: a lower header pipe 5 through which low-temperature liquid or gas flows; a plurality of heat transfer pipes 2 whose lower ends are connected to the lower header pipe and along the surface of which a heat medium supplied by a supply unit flows; and an upper header pipe 4 to which the upper end of the heat transfer pipe is connected. A method for operating the open rack type heat exchanger comprises adjusting an amount of low-temperature liquid supplied to the lower header pipe, and adjusting a supply amount of the heat medium to the heat exchange unit so that ices adhere to the surface of the heat exchange unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
