Abstract:

To provide a removing method of an organic substance and nitrogen as a liquid to be treated which performs the denitrification in an anaerobic treatment tank using the anaerobic treatment and autotrophic denitrifying microorganisms, to provide a granule to store microorganisms usable for the method, to provide a solution for acclimatization, and to provide a removing apparatus of an organic substance and nitrogen using a granule and carrier.

In the method for removing the organic substance and nitrogen from the liquid to be treated containing the organic substance and nitrogen using the anaerobic treatment tank, the anaerobic treatment tank is provided with a first layer to store microorganisms for the anaerobic treatment and a second layer to store the autotrophic denitrifying microorganisms. This method includes the step (a) of bringing the liquid to be treated into contact with the first layer that has stored the microorganisms for aerobic treatment to decompose the organic substance by the anaerobic treatment, the step (b) of bringing the liquid to be treated after the contact with the first layer into contact with the second layer that has stored the autotrophic denitrifying microorganisms to conduct the denitrification and of repeating one or more steps of (a) and (b). The apparatus therefor is also obtained.
